Academy MetroWest Weekly: Physical activity centering on cooperative and non-competitive games as a means of enhancing children's self-image and social skills. Groups meet weekly for 75 minutes. Children aged 6 - 14. In the past, children have had diagnoses including ADHD, Asperger's Disorder, and Non-verbal Learning Disorder, as well as with others who are not working with a formal diagnosis.
Summer: Creative Adventures camp is designed for those children looking for a summer, full-day recreational setting that is smaller and more personal than that found at traditional day camps. No more than 25 participants attend this program at any time. Because the program is small, staff will be able to concentrate on establishing close relationships with each child. This individualized approach helps children become involved in a very integral way, in both the physical and social aspects of the program. Creative Adventures is a resource for boys and girls aged 8 - 12.
